This is a double bedroom in Poble Sec, right at the foot of Montjuic, 5min walk from Paral·lel metro (L2 and L3). You can literally hear birds in the morning, and there’s no traffic as our road ends right outside our building.
We have a lovely terrace, huge kitchen/living/dining room area, bathroom with an amazing rain shower, extra toilet and an interior patio for laundry.
The room isn’t huge but a decent size, interior but with natural light (not just an elevator shaft – and I’m looking into cleaning the patio roof at the moment). It has a double bed, wardrobe and a desk… but you’re also welcome to work on the dining table or terrace. There also is extra storage available for suitcases or winter clothes in a separate room. Rent is €550 with cleaner included, or €520 if you want to clean the communal areas yourself once a month or so. Electricity, gas, water and Internet are included. One month deposit, which you’ll, of course, get back in full if you don’t destroy stuff.
You should be between 30 and 60 years old, and you must love cats, because we have two! Unfortunately we can’t accommodate more pets (my two wouldn’t like it), and we don’t accept couples. Sorry, but it simply changes the dynamics in the flat too much. If you like gardening, that’s a bonus 😉
In general, this is a proper flatshare, not an Airbnb, so you’d occasionally help taking out the trash/recycling, buy toilet paper or other communal stuff, look after the cats for a night or so (though I’ll always take care of the cat litter, don’t worry), socialise, and generally treat the flat as a home. We’re clean and social, but we generally party elsewhere, not at home.
The other flatmate, Sabi, and I are German, but we both haven’t lived there in a long time, and we speak perfect English and Spanish (well, my Spanish is ok, at best).
The area here is pretty safe. I’ve lived here for 4 years and I’ve never had any issues or heard of any.
Since the flatmate who is leaving is moving in with her sister, the moving in date is a bit flexible, but it has to be before Christmas. Looking forward to meeting you!
