Stripe can also save your payment information if you select to do so.

Please see the Stripe Privacy Policy for more details.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a public comment, review or testimonial, your contribution and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can display it on our website, and also so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

We want to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request a copy of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service representing only the effort to retrieve and send your data.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request to complete any information you believe is incomplete. If you can rectify and complete that data by yourself we might direct you to where you can fix it yourself. Otherwise, and only if the incorrect or incomplete data is because of a big mistake on your side, we might charge you a small fee for the time it takes us to fix the issue.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions. This is not possible if we are still processing an order you have placed, like if you have purchased a ticket for an event that hasn’t happened yet. By asking us to delete your data you might give up certain rights, like the right to dispute payments, or to request replacements or refunds… once your data is deleted we won’t be able to see any of your previous activity anymore, so you will not be eligible for discounts or other promotions based on that. Erasing your data also means that all connected comments or other content you have provided to Speedshare will have to be deleted. As long as it is legally possible, however, we will erase your data immediately or as soon as allowed.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to us processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions. We may charge you a small fee for this service representing only the effort to retrieve and send your data.

If you make a request for one of the reasons above, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please notify us using the contact form on this website.

Nobody on our team has access to your full payment details other than what is required to confirm your identity and process disputes.
